Dear AAC members,

As many of may have, or have not, noticed, the club has slowly been growing in size. More members, more deviations, and more everything.

Between the moderators of the club, we have planned some very interesting new things for this club.

First things first:

We have a BRAND NEW contest

The contest entails of having a drawing mascot contest.

+Rules+
-Anyone can enter, as long as they are part of the club.
-There has to be two characters in the picture- 1 male and 1 female, any animal species.
-No porn or seductive pictures- we want this picture to be able to be viewed by anyone who comes along.
-Does not matter if the pic is traditional or digital.
-If you are going to join, please either note the club or post in this journal telling us you're entering.
-Entries END on March 10th-March 17th (depending on late entries).
-for additional information/questions, please contact either the club or ~PriestRevan

=Contest Prize=

1st place winner- Get's featured on the front page, has his/her deviation used as the new ID and has 3 deviations featured in a special journal (of his/her choice).
2nd place winner- Has 2 deviations featured in the same journal (of his/her choice).
3rd place winner- Has 1 deviation featured in the same journal (of his/her choice).

====Meet the Operators====

Ok, well, I don't like saying my name outloud on the internet. My username is PriestRevan and I'm 18 years old. I live in Arizona (South Easter), but I'm in Flagstaff right now getting a college education at NAU. Lot's o'fun.
I wanted to be a sub-operator because I always wanted to work for a club. I also thought it would be a great way to reach out to new people who haven't seen me yet. *ego*
While I'm here, I want to make this club more popular and noticed that all of the other Anthro clubs.
So like what the bloke above me said, lets make this club the greatest club ever.

I am Aijoran. n.n and well I'm not very good at these talking about myself things but I'm 17 years old about to graduate high school in 4 months. yay me~ n.n I have no plans for college as of yet and I like to -in true starving artist fashion- float along through life and see how it goes. because if you aren't having fun in life you must be doing something wrong yes? And the reason I wanted to help out in this club was basically I had too much time on my hands and the club needed help and I decided to lend a hand. n.n er... paw in this club's case. lol after all this is an Anthro club. and I would love to help this club become more popular.

Hi there! My name is Dennis Kröner (chaosblender) and I'm one of your new Sub-Operators here at AnthroArtists. I'm 20 years old and live in a pretty small village at the northern end of Bavaria in Germany

. Currently I'm a trainee at a local supermarket to get some money to be able to study journalism next year. My interests/hobbies are drawing pics (mostly fantasy related), reading/writing stories (mostly fantasy related), programming (mostly fantasy related games) and making music (mostly metal related :> ).
I applied to the post as Sub-Operator, because I'm really much interested in anthro arts. I think it's one of the themes you're most free in what you're creating... It just lets your imagination run wild

...
I hope that we all will be able to make this club one of the most known (no, no... THE most known) Anthro-Clubs on DA. I think that we will be able to accomplish that together... now that there're 4 operators running the club.
So let's roll up our sleeves and get to work to make AnthroArtists the greatest club there ever was!

Get your art published in an artbook!

I have desided to make a Cafepress store so I can make an artbook. Featuring what? YOUR ARTWORK of course! Yes. All people who would like to have their art published in the book need to contact me by note to let me know. Each person should supply two or three of their drawings to be put in a page. All credit will be given to the artists. Ill put your real name or your name here, its up to you. All proceeds will go to the formation of the club, the formation of the website (that is now under construstion), and to the contests we will hold. Yes, my friends, cash prizes if we earn the money from the books. Ban togather now! Art in the book will be printed in black and white. We need as many people to be in the book as possible. Remember, you will get credit and your names and art will get out there for this. Its a great thing to put in a portfolio, and it helps your art get out there. Questions? Note me about them and they shall be answered. THE ONLY WAY THIS WILL WORK IS IF WE GET ALOT OF PEOPLE TO SAY THEY WANT TO BE IN THE BOOK!

This is your chance to get your artwork into a manga by a published author and a professional manga artist. Your art will be seen by agents, publishers, thousands of fans and guests of anime, sci-fi, fantasy and literary conferences and conventions as well as potential commissioners. It is a rare chance for an amazing opportunity and all you have to do is draw. The manga already has 2 chapters out and has done amazingly well! It is basically just a manga version of my published novel Predator Turned Prey This contest focuses on chapters 3 and 4! I have made chapters 1 through 4 available as a PDF file free for everyone to read for this contest.
